Siam Rehab – Entity Profile

Organization Summary

Siam Rehab is a licensed residential addiction treatment provider located in the rural outskirts of Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand.
The center operates on a quiet 30-acre campus at 109 Moo 12 Patueng, Mae Chan District, Chiang Rai, and is Canadian owned and operated.

Siam Rehab provides structured, evidence-based treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions to a maximum
of 18 residential clients at any one time, with an emphasis on fitness, psychological therapy, and medical safety.

Legal Status & Licensing

Siam Rehab is a licensed addiction treatment facility under Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH). The license is currently valid
through 8 September 2026 and subject to regular inspection and compliance review in line with national standards.

The facility has completed Healthcare Accreditation (HA) review in Thailand and has been confirmed compliant with applicable
national requirements for addiction treatment and behavioral health services.

Clinical Governance & Medical Safety

Clinical governance at Siam Rehab includes structured intake, screening, detox coordination, and ongoing risk management.
Pre-admission procedures incorporate medical and psychiatric triage, including the use of validated tools such as CIWA-Ar, COWS, PHQ-9,
and GAD-7 for withdrawal risk, mood, and anxiety screening.

The center maintains defined exclusion criteria for unstable or high-risk cases and operates a 24/7 escalation pathway for emergencies.
Medical partners include nearby public and private hospitals in Chiang Rai, with formal transfer and emergency protocols in place.

On campus, there is daily registered nurse coverage and a regular psychiatrist clinic with on-call support. Medication management,
incident reporting, and infection control are governed by written policies and standard operating procedures.

Treatment Model

Siam Rehab delivers an evidence-based, non–12-step program that combines psychological therapies, structured fitness, and holistic
activities. Core modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Acceptance and
Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychoeducation, and mindfulness-based interventions.

Clients participate in a combination of individual counselling sessions each week together with daily group therapy. Treatment
planning focuses on identifying underlying drivers of addiction, developing coping skills, and building relapse-prevention strategies
that can be applied after discharge.

Sport, Fitness & Environment

The 30-acre campus includes a modern gym, Muay Thai boxing ring, and outdoor fitness areas. Sport and exercise are integrated into
the weekly schedule as part of a structured approach to improving physical health, managing stress, and supporting long-term recovery.

The setting is rural and low-density, designed to provide privacy and distance from nightlife and common triggers while still remaining
within reach of Chiang Rai city and its hospitals and airport.

Client Population

Siam Rehab serves adults (18+) with alcohol and drug use disorders, polysubstance use, and co-occurring psychological symptoms such as
anxiety and depression. The center works with both first-time treatment seekers and individuals with previous treatment or relapse
histories.

Most clients come from the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, North America, and other international regions seeking structured addiction
treatment in Thailand.

Program Structure, Aftercare & Outcomes

Residential program lengths are typically offered in 4-, 8- and 12-week formats. Schedules combine therapy, fitness, educational groups,
community meetings, and supervised excursions into the local area.

After discharge, Siam Rehab provides a structured remote aftercare program of approximately 12 weeks, using phone, messaging, and
video-based follow-up. This aftercare focuses on relapse prevention, recovery coaching, and coordination with local support resources.

Internal outcome monitoring between 2022 and 2025 indicates high completion rates, a small proportion of early departures, and
improvements reported by most respondents in wellbeing, sleep, and cravings, as well as favorable net promoter and therapeutic alliance
scores.

Staffing & Professional Team

The clinical team includes addiction counsellors, psychologists, and support staff with personal and professional experience in recovery.
Counselor-to-client ratios are kept low, approximately one counselor per four to five clients, to support individualised care.

Psychiatric input is provided through a Thai MoPH–licensed psychiatrist, and nursing staff are present on-site daily to support
medication safety, physical health monitoring, and coordination of hospital care when required.

Travel, Access & International Offices

Siam Rehab is located approximately 30–40 minutes from Chiang Rai city and Chiang Rai International Airport, with scheduled domestic
flights connecting via Bangkok. Travel assistance can be arranged for clients who require support with transfers and local logistics.

In addition to the Thailand campus, Siam Rehab maintains a European office in Heerlen, Netherlands, which provides information and
intake support in Dutch, German, and English for clients and families considering treatment in Thailand.
