At Heartwood women engage in a process of healing and recovery with the support of their interdisciplinary team. Our complete team includes doctors, nurses, counsellors, a psychiatrist, a dietitian, a social worker, a recreational therapist, an expressive art therapist, yoga practitioner and an acupuncturist.

The Substance Abuse Treatment program treats the disease of the addiction through education, group therapy, and one-on-one counselling. Clients are provided with a safe and supportive program where they can begin the process of change. We take a holistic approach focusing on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of each individual.

Berman House Motivation, Power, and Achievement (MPA) Society Vancouver, BC Phone: (604) 482 3700 Inspiring hope and supporting recovery for people with mental illness by establishing and operating social, vocational, recreation, advocacy and housing programs that support people in their own communities.
MPA Society is a non-profit and Registered Charitable organization founded in 1971 by people facing the challenges of mental illness.
Central City Lodge Vancouver, BC Phone: (604) 681-9111 The Addiction Recovery Program (ARP) is a 90-day residential alcohol and drug recovery program offered by the City Centre Care Society at Central City Lodge. Our facility is home to adults who self-identify as men who are interested in pursuing recovery from alcohol and drugs. We are licensed by Vancouver Coastal Health. The facility provides a warm, friendly atmosphere that is conducive to personal growth and change. There are 18 single rooms and 2 double rooms for our 22 residents.
The Addiction Recovery Program is for:
- Men who are 19 years of age or older
- Men who have detoxified from alcohol and other drugs
- Men who are committed to seeking assistance to achieve the goal of maintaining abstinence from alcohol and other drugs, including men stabilized on a methadone maintenance protocol
- Priority is given to men living in the downtown Eastside
Homestead Salvation Army Vancouver, BC Phone: (604) 299-3908 The Vancouver Homestead operates two programs. Support Recovery is a first stage program, focusing on the initial recovery process. Priority is given to building the life skills necessary to live drug and alcohol free. Through one to one and group counselling, psychoeducational classes, and life skill teaching women learn a new way to live. The Support Recovery program has capacity for twenty four women. The minimum stay in the first stage is 12 weeks.
Homestead’s second stage program focuses on long term stabilization for women who have graduated the first stage. Eight beds are set apart in a space independent from the first stage program for the women who desire to live in a supportive community environment while reintegrating into the larger community. Women in this stage must continue to set and work toward recovery goals, while seeking long term safe and affordable housing, enrolling in work ready programs, or furthering their education.
Sancta Maria House Vancouver, BC Phone: (604) 731-5550 Located in a beautiful area in Vancouver, BC, Sancta Maria House offers structured, supportive living for 9 women who desire freedom from addiction. We welcome women from all walks of life to join us in this holistic treatment program.
The spiritual atmosphere is supported through daily Mass, prayer time, journaling, weekly Bible Study, service work and practiced Catholic Christian values. SMH offers a program focused on spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical journey in healing and self-discovery.
